FIBAC Project

Within the frame of the interdisciplinary FIBAC (Fruizione Innovativa dei Beni Artistici e Culturali) project, funded by MIUR (Ministero per l’Università e la Ricerca), the project leader SPACE has developed a special web software able to show images and provide information on some of the most important works of art of the Galleria Farnese of the Capodimonte Museum, classifying and ranking them according to thematic areas.

The main feature of the system is that it keeps track of the user navigation and sends a report to a 3D software, developed by SJM TECH, that enables the visualization in virtual Capodimonte Museum halls of the works of art previously examined by the user in the web portal. In its turn, the 3D software keeps track and sends to the system important data regarding the user’s virtual visit: itinerary, total time of the visit, time spent at each work, and so on.

Thanks to the whole system, the user is able to select first the images on a web portal and then access their 3D visualization inside the museum halls, which can be visited in a virtual interactive way.
